Meanwhile, the children were putting the final touches on their snow
creations. Sanjay and Nathan’s snowman looked terribly grand with a
top hat and bow tie. Murph’s snowman was more traditional, despite
having a saucepan as a hat! It had a long stripey scarf and carrot
nose. Daniel’s snow dog looked like Mark’s dog Ash.
The twins snow rabbit was almost complete.
“All it needs is a nose to twitch” remarked Kit.
Lydia noticed a beautiful shiny black, flat stone in the flower bed. She
handed it to Kit, who placed it on the bunny’s face in just the right spot.
Mark and Nanny Dot walked up the garden path to admire the
children’s hard work. Nanny Dot looked at the snow rabbit
“The precious gem stone out of my brooch!“ exclaimed Nanny Dot.
“You clever children – you found it.”
“Oops!” thought Lydia, but said nothing… just smiled.
